Futuroscope
Futuroscope France, or Parc du Futuroscope is the only theme park of its type in Europe.
A must for kids, Futuroscope will please all ages with its 3D cinemas along with other attractions and shows, some of which are the only examples in the world. Futuristic and virtual attractions will transport you into the Future. A whole day is a good compromise, though you could stay in this region of France for over a week without running out of things to do.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Futuroscope, the second largest theme park in France, just rebuilt more than half its attractions. And the result is at the amazing edge of technology and imagination. So we can look to the future right now!
We promised our energetic young ones, seven year-old son and five year-old daughter, a stop on our tour to spend a week-end travelling in the future. Futuroscope is located near Poitiers and has its own TGV train station linking it at high speed to several cities in France. The train is absolutely the best way to get there as you can climb out the train and walk straight into the park after a ninety minutes trip. After checking in at one of the several nearby hotels, you walk ten minutes and find yourself in another time, another planet, another universe. If you like seeing your children's eyes go really wide (and don't mind a surprise yourself) you will not be disappointed.
My birthday was Tuesday, so I thought I'd be happy to celebrate my birthday in Dutch style. I went with my boyfriend to Amsterdam. We always go on cheap trips. So we armed ourselves with an International Student Identity Card (ISIC), which offers substantial savings on rail passes, plane tickets, and entrance fees. I just took the train in May from Berlin to Amsterdam. I used the bahn.com website and booked about 2 months in advance. We had a direct Amsterdam train (stops but no changes) I paid 39euro each plus 2euro for seat reservation. I was wondering about the Amsterdam weather and Amsterdam pubs and Amsterdam cafes and amsterdam cheap lodging, that is not a amsterdam hostel. I wanted to spend my days doing historic stuff and nights taking in the "culture" of Amsterdam, smoke marijuana.
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Budget Amsterdam Hotel Corner House It is cheap hotel Amsterdam city center. The cost for a double with shower was only 60 Euro per night. It is the best for this price range in the Amsterdam center and it is clean. No breakfast, but they served us a free drink when we arrived. It was cheap simple, clean, and wonderfully located. This Amsterdam budget hotel is open 24h a day so we could do our thing in the city and not worry about a curfew. Cheap Hotel Café Corner House was surrounded by superb Amsterdam restaurant bars and cafes approx 10 min walk from Anne Franks House, right on Dam Square, a 5 min walk from the famous red light area and everything is within reach in a few minutes really. It took us 15 min to walk up from the Amsterdam station with our bags. The drinks in the bar were also cheap.
